"UCC have been involved with HPP for over 20 years, they have gained extensive knowledge in the area and continue to undertake a lot of research both through national funding and with industry partners.

UCC currently have a testing facility on site which allows them test small samples of product. UCC are happy to be included in the team as advisors/partners with HPP Tolling, as they are now focused on converting the research complete into commercial reality.

UCC have extensive research experience and information in this field, and actually have published so many studies that they would be considered one of the worlds leading HPP Research centres."

Teagasc Food Research Centre,

Ashtown,

Dublin 15.

"Teagasc will be working with us and our customers in the preparation process, i.e. preparing food products for the market place.

They have extensive research and knowledge built up over the years about HPP and will be giving us access to this knowledge, in return we will be giving Teagasc access to our technology for further research and development that will assist both organisations with HPP development.

Teagasc also work closely with UCD which again gives us access to the future generations of food scientists and in turn gives them access to us.

We would expect that these students will also carry out research with HPP Tolling as part of their studies. "

They offer a high pressure product development service to assist companies in determining the optimum processing parameters (e.g. pressure, time, temperature, and packaging) for their products and can assist in testing the suitability of packaging.

In addition, AFBI can provide a complete range of microbiological analyses including shelf-life assessment and challenge testing.

AFBI have containment level 1, 2 and 3 laboratories. All of their work is accredited under ISO9001:2008, but UKAS-accredited testing is also available, if required.
